Gardening is reaching
a new level of popularity, and urban gardens are finding
their way to patios, front yards, even rooftops. Community
Building and Restoration is working with our communities
to achieve greater sustainability and has branched out
into the area of urban farming, and the carpentry necessary
for it. We design and build a variety of raised-bed
gardens, irrigation systems, greenhouses, arbors, trellises,
garden sheds, and other garden accoutrements and enhancements.
We are in this business for the long haul and will work
tirelessly to make sure our community thrives long into
the future.
Rooftop Gardens:
Community Building
and Restoration has launched a non-profit corporation,
Community Growers, which has installed a commercial
rooftop vegetable farm on the roof of the Community
Building shop and warehouse off of East Capitol Dr.
This farm is host to what may be the world's first rooftop
CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) Farm. We have
consulted on other rooftop gardening projects and would
be thrilled to help you on yours, as well as on more
conventional, "terrestrial," growing projects.
We can build for you a greenhouse, whether
large and fancy or small and simple, whether an architectural
masterpiece or one that is purely functional.
